About us
Arq Music was started by London based composer/musician Mark Bedford and singer/composer/multi-instrumentalist, Marylin Sherwood.
Our productions feature an international assembly of guest musicians.
Our aim is threefold:
To bring you the best in the music which is our passion: global rhythms and themes from European, Celtic and African traditions, and epic cinematic productions.
To ensure that the musicians who work with us are financially and fairly compensated for their talent and skill. For this reason, our music is not available on the streaming sites.
To deliver our music in a way that is as environmentally-friendly as we can make it. All our albums are available as high-quality WAV, FLAC and MP3 downloads. Our CDs are manufactured using recycled materials as much as possible, and we supply them in eco wallets, rather than the usual jewel cases. Not only do these reduce our use of plastic and paper products by over 50%, their light weight also helps to minimise our carbon footprint when shipping. We use international fulfillment centres, which further diminishes our environmental impact, whilst allowing us to offer our albums to you at the same price, wherever in the world you live.
